Red Lake is located in at the end of Highway 105, along the beautiful shores of WanamaniSaa’ikaniink (Red Lake). The Red Lake Anishinaape Pow Wow Circle acknowledges this Land and these Waters around WanamaniSaa’ikaniink where Anishinaapek have lived since time before memory. The Circle understands this area to be a part of un-ceded Treaty #3 territory and the traditional lands of All Our Relations whose ancestors have also lived here for millennia.
The Red Lake Pow Wow is hosted on Keesic Beach, where the Anishinaape have gathered since time immemorial. These grounds are considered sacred.
To get to Red Lake from Winnipeg, you will take the Trans-Canada Highway (Highway 1 in Manitoba and Highway 17 in Ontario) and go east for about 305 km until you reach Vermilion Bay. At Vermilion Bay, take Highway 105 north 172 km to the town of Red Lake. Keesic Beach is located 3 km down Forestry Road. When coming into Red Lake on the 105, turn left at the second set of lights onto Howey St. Turn right on Hammell and keep right on Hammell Road and it will turn into Forestry Road. Follow Forestry Road until you get to Keesic Beach.

If you’re driving from Thunder Bay, you’ll take the Trans Canada Highway 17 and go west 385 km until you reach Vermilion Bay. From the junction of Highway 17 & 105, take Highway 105 north 172 km to Red Lake.
